Most of the apps covered on this site have an affiliate program, and the amount they pay varies from one app to the next. You should know that before you read any recommendation here, which is why there's a note about it at the bottom of every page.

What the money doesn't buy

It doesn't buy a score. Every app is scored on the same five published criteria (see how the scores work), and commissions are not one of them. It doesn't buy the facts either: prices, free limits, renewal prices and refund rules are written the same way whatever an app pays.

What partnerships can influence

Being straight about this: commercial terms can affect placement. That means which apps I feature first on the home page, and which of two apps comes first when they tie on everything a list is sorted by (the score, or the price in the cheapest-apps guide). They never move an app above one with a higher score, and they never change what a review says.
