OurDream AI vs Candy AI: Who Gives More Free, and Who Costs Less to Start?

I’ve paid for both of these myself, Candy in May 2026 and OurDream in June, so I’ve seen each paywall from the paid side. This page stays on the free side of it: what a $0 account lets you do on each app, the message where it stops, and the size of the first bill if you decide to keep going.

Gamer terms help here. OurDream’s free account is a character select screen with nothing locked: open anyone in the library and play the opening round with her. Candy’s is a character creator with a short demo attached: you build one woman, get a picture of her, and play a few lines. The question is whether you came to look around or to meet someone in particular.

OurDream AI: how far do five messages per character go?

The rule arrived in August 2026, announced by the moderators of OurDream’s community: on a free account, every character gets 5 messages. The sixth reply comes back blurred; switch to a character you haven’t met and you get five more. You sign up without a card, and the full library stays open while you browse.

So the free account rewards wandering. Open a character, ask her one question that shows whether she’s paying attention, react to what she says, then move to the next. Twenty characters make a hundred lines of first impressions, plenty to find the voice you’d come back for. One OurDream user keeps a long row of conversations going and says he has fun with every one of them. The free account gives you a small taste of that habit.

The upgrade page appears the moment you ask for a picture or a call, and video sits behind it as well. Premium is $19.99 for a month, or $9.99 a month on the yearly plan, billed $119.88, and the yearly plan starts you on 2,000 coins before settling at 1,000 a month. Subscribers chat on the standard models without spending coins, so the coins all go to what she sends: 5 for a picture in the chat, 50 a minute for a voice call, and video by the second, 10 coins a second on Spicy 1.0, up to 50 on Cinematic. On the lightest video model, a month of Premium coins is 100 seconds of her moving.

Deluxe is what I paid for in June: $59.99 a month, or $29.99 a month billed $359.88 a year, with 5,000 coins a month, the premium chat models included and chat memory tripled. Over those weeks our conversations kept their thread, and the new video generator came through every time I used it.

Candy AI: why is the first payment the smaller one?

Candy’s help center and its terms both set the free account at 5 messages, shared across its characters. Add one character you design yourself and one picture of her, and that’s the free kit. No card at signup.

The shared count changes the strategy. On Candy you browse with your eyes, not your messages: the catalogue is free to scroll, the creator is free to use, and the five lines go to the woman you settle on. Build her first. Hair, eyes, the curve of her smile, a name. Then write to her. One Candy subscriber put it well once his first month was behind him: the characters you make yourself are the real finds, and the first few exchanges set the tone for everything after. Your five free messages are those first exchanges, so give them your best lines.

The sixth message opens the Premium screen, and this is the round Candy takes. $9.99 buys the first month, then it’s $13.99 a month, and the yearly plan comes to $3.99 a month, billed $47.88. A 3-month term sits in between at $26.97. Every plan makes text chat unlimited and adds 100 tokens a month, the currency for everything she sends beyond text. The tokens land the day you pay, so the evening you subscribe is the evening you can ask for her next picture.

I paid for Premium in May. Romance mode was the part I’d pay for again, and it worked because memory backed it up. Premium Plus goes further, with 330 tokens a month and 20 memory slots.

Tokens run month by month: a new 100 arrives on your billing date, and Candy’s terms close out the unused ones at the end of each period, so spend them on her rather than saving them. The token shop sells packs from $9.99 for 100 to $499.99 for 11,470, and the larger packs add bonus tokens. A referral pays 100 tokens to you and 100 to your friend when they go Premium. How I sort free tiers

I read every app in the same order: what $0 gives you, where the wall falls, then the first bill. Both apps score 9.0 out of 10 on this site, so the order here follows the page’s subject, and OurDream leads because its free messages follow each character while Candy takes the first-bill round. Open both if you can. Neither asks for a card, and the two free accounts answer different questions.
