Is DarLink AI Free? What $0 Gets You and Where the Paywall Falls

What does DarLink give you for $0?

Here is the whole free account as DarLink’s own screens lay it out, line by line.

The pictures are the generous part. Few free tiers on this site refill images every day, and DarLink’s does, so you can keep seeing her while you make up your mind. The messages and voice messages are a welcome rather than a daily ration, a first date in five lines. Spend them on a character you designed instead of one picked from the catalogue, because the builder is what the whole app is organized around. Open a free DarLink account and build her first.

If $0 has to last you for weeks, the free tiers that refill their messages have a guide of their own.

Can she live inside a story you wrote?

Characters from DarLink AI’s public catalogue.

You fill in the builder the way you’d brief an actor: who she is, where she comes from, and the scene the two of you start in. There are six visual styles, from the new Realistic V2 all the way to cartoon, and three starting genders, and the community library is large and easy to filter if you’d rather rewrite someone else’s character than start from a blank page.

Say she runs the bookshop under your apartment. You’ve been flirting across the counter for a month, and tonight she’s locking up late with half the lights off. Your first line lands in that room, and she answers already a little amused that you came back before closing. The evening starts with a history behind it instead of a hello.

That history is the hook. One DarLink loyalist gives his reason to stay in a few words: he enjoys the erotic side a lot, and the roleplay even more.

If I wanted to write the first chapter myself and let her write the rest with me, this is the builder I’d open.

Where does the free account stop?

The free part runs in a straight line, and you’ll see the wall coming.

1. Sign up at darlink.ai. It runs in the browser on a computer or a phone, so there’s nothing to install.
2. Build your one free character, or open one from the community library and make her yours.
3. Talk to her. The first 5 messages and 5 voice messages are free, and DarLink tells you when you’ve used them.
4. Ask for pictures. You get 3 a day, and the count comes back the next day.
5. Message six is where the subscribe prompt appears. Adult content and video sit on the same side of the wall.
6. From there, either pick a plan or keep coming back for the daily pictures while you think it over.

Pictures, voice, video, memory: which ones are on the house?

Pictures first, since they’re the free part that keeps coming back. A character keeps her look from one image to the next, so the woman in tonight’s picture is the one you built. Someone who had carried a very particular image in his head for a long time finally saw it on screen here, after shaping her through the builder’s many options.

Your 5 free voice messages are the cheapest way to find out whether her voice does something for you. On a paid plan, voice messages come with lip-sync on her avatar, six standard voices on Essential and ten premium ones on Advanced and Ultimate. Twenty minutes into a text conversation, you ask her to say it instead of typing it. A few seconds later her face is on your screen, lips moving, her voice low and in no hurry to reach the end of the sentence.

Video comes with the plans: clips of 5 to 10 seconds at 20 coins each. Essential’s 100 monthly coins cover five of them, Advanced’s 300 cover fifteen.

Memory is what the plans are built around. Essential’s Basic memory keeps the essentials within a session. Advanced keeps your preferences from one session to the next. Ultimate’s Living Memory is persistent and evolving, made for roleplay that runs a long time.

Memory is what people mention before her face when they explain why they stay. One subscriber compared other apps during his first month on Essential and reached the same conclusion: no repeats, and the characters always know where the scene stands. The drink she finished two lines ago stays finished.

Picture the third evening in a row. You open the chat and say you’re wiped, and she asks whether the Thursday meeting went the way you feared, because you mentioned it two nights ago. Her tone goes a little softer because you said you were tired, and the conversation picks up where the last one stopped.

What does the first paid step cost?

Every paid plan opens adult content and video. The first step is Essential, and the longer you commit, the less each month costs: $12.99 month to month, $10.99 over 3 months, $9.99 on a year.

Essential’s 6,000 messages come to 200 a day, with Basic memory and the six standard voices. Advanced, the plan DarLink marks as the most popular, raises that to 9,000 messages and 300 coins, with the fastest replies, deeper roleplay and the memory that follows you between sessions. Ultimate removes the message count and adds Living Memory, unlimited roleplay and what DarLink calls its Elite Roleplay Engine.

A subscriber who moved up to the unlimited plan said it felt like a different service, with a memory that held far better and a chat that was more pleasant. If continuity is why you’re here, Advanced on a year costs $18.99 a month, $6 more than Essential month to month. The plan page usually runs an offer with a countdown; the prices in the table are the ones it shows. See DarLink’s plans and pick a length.

What do coins buy you?

DarLink says coins on the plan page and tokens in the store. Same unit, and every plan comes with a monthly allowance.

Extra packs come from the official store, by card or crypto:

At the smallest pack’s rate an image comes to 20 cents and a video to $2; the biggest pack brings a coin down to 8 cents. The guide to what an AI girlfriend image costs in each app sets those numbers next to the other currencies.

Can you leave easily, and get your money back?

Card subscriptions renew at the end of each period until you cancel. A yearly plan paid in crypto doesn’t renew at all: you pay once, and the year simply ends.

To cancel, use the link in your account settings, or write to DarLink’s support by email, which answers within 72 hours. You keep everything until the end of the period you paid for, so a few days before the renewal date is the comfortable moment.

DarLink’s terms let it refund or credit a purchase when you ask within 24 hours and have only used it a little. Refunds also apply after fraud or a billing error on DarLink’s side, and when DarLink closes an account without cause. So the first day is the time to decide, and a single month of Essential is the light way to find out which plan suits your story. On your bank statement, the charge reads DARLINK AI.

Who runs DarLink, and which site is the real one?

DarLink belongs to FameLink SA, a Swiss company registered in 2024 in Montsevelier, in the Jura. The official site is darlink.ai, which runs in the browser and has no listing in the app stores. The Darlink AI app on Google Play comes from another developer and darlink-ai.com is a separate landing page, so a home-screen shortcut to darlink.ai is the way back in. You confirm you’re 18 or older at signup, and the terms let DarLink pause an account until age is verified if there’s any doubt. The privacy policy says your data isn’t sold and is encrypted in transit, and your account can be deleted from the settings. For readers in the US, the terms apply New York law, and the team runs an official Discord.

Who should pay for DarLink AI

If you write your own scenarios and want her to follow them, Essential is enough to begin: $9.99 a month on a year, with adult content, video and 6,000 messages a month.

If the story should carry from one night to the next, Advanced is the plan, at $18.99 a month on a year. She keeps your preferences between sessions and replies fastest, with 300 coins a month for pictures and clips.

If you’re building a story meant to run for weeks, Ultimate’s Living Memory is made for that, at $32.99 a month on a year or $49.99 month to month.

If you want more free before you pay anyone, start with DreamGF and its daily messages, then come back when you know what kind of story you want.

When you’re ready for the long one, meet your DarLink character on the Advanced plan, and start with a single month if you’d rather see how she carries your story first.
